Message from the President!

Dear Valued NABIP-MD Member;

I hope this message finds you healthy and staying busy! 

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I extend my gratitude for your continued commitment to our association and to the broader insurance industry. Your active participation is the foundation of our success and the driving force behind the progress we achieve together.
This past year, our industry has navigated changing regulatory landscape, new market pressures, and changes in carrier dynamics. In the face of these challenges, our association proved its value as a unifying force, providing our members with tools and resources for Medicare training, legislative advocacy, and networking events to help you thrive. 
As we look ahead, we have a clear vision for the future. Our strategic priorities will focus on strengthening our advocacy outreach and expanding our educational offerings. By working together, we will continue to shape an industry that is resilient, innovative, and dedicated to serving the public.

Our lobbyists Bryson Popham & Joan Smith of Bryson F. Popham, P.A law firm continue to advocate on our behalf in Annapolis. Legislative affairs are critical to our efforts as an association and Bryson and Joan provide invaluable support in this area. We are working to provide more regular legislative updates to you, so you can continue to see the value that their experience brings to our industry and region.

Here is an update on NABIP-MD programming:

  • This will be expanded over prior years to include CE opportunities and additional virtual programs.
  • We have successfully executed our Annual Expo for the last few years and plan to continue. The first golf outing as NABIP MD was very successful!


Sponsorship revenue from our valued vendor partners has always been critical to furthering our mission of providing education and programming to our membership. We are always looking for new vendor partners. If you are interested or have suggestions for vendor partners that would be a good fit for us, please let me know.
